Today, sadly, is my last day in Belize and Central America. It has been a great adventure, and I would love to come back to all of the places I've visited. I've met so many nice people on this adventure and I am truly thankful to all that have guided me and shared a laugh with me along the way. Central America is a great place. You should definitely consider coming to one of the many countries here. I was a little apprehensive about the trip before I left. I had read that crime was horrible, especially in Guatemala. While Guatemala City probably isn't the safest place, with common sense there is no reason not to come here. I never felt unsure of my surroundings. Also, I didn't put myself in any situations where I would be made to feel unsafe. Don't listen to news reports of violence and crime in this part of the world. While I'm sure it happens, with a little common sense you will be just fine. I feel so lucky to go on these adventures. I don't know what I would do if I couldn't travel. People should get out in this giant world of ours and explore. Open your mind to different things, people, and cultures. Experience new things and get out of your comfort zone!! You have nothing to lose and I feel like experiencing what the world has to offer makes you feel so alive!!
